I would like to give a huge “thank you” to Grant, Elijah, and several others involved in our basement humidity/window process. After we had our house built in 2018, we had multiple problems with huge blocks of ice forming in the corner of the basement window area during the wintertime. We later put multiple layers of Drylok, had the majority of basement walls spray foamed, and super-sealed every little nook and crack we could find. However, as the years went by, we still had major condensation issues during the wintertime. The condensation was so bad that it literally looked like someone had left a water faucet on. The problem was, this only occurred when the outside temperatures would only get to the low teens, or the single digit temperatures. As a result, we weren’t always catching when the “pattern” of the condensation was occurring. Throughout the last several years, we’ve had conversations with multiple people in the construction/building industry trying to come up with a solution to what’s causing this problem. After reaching out to Grant, he was the first person to recommend a Humidity Meter/Digital Hygrometer before spending any more money on various materials (and put a science viewpoint into it). Grant stayed in contact with me for several months during this process. After careful monitoring, it was determined that the windows were most likely the culprit (they were cheap builder grade single-pane windows). I also want to give a huge “thank you” to the outstanding job Elijah did on getting the windows out, and replacing them with very minimum scuffing around the wooden trim. Mentally, I was fully prepared that I was going to need to paint (or touch up) the trim around the windows. As it turns out, no touch-up was necessary. In my opinion, this took some skill/craftsmanship to do that. He made my weekend a whole lot easier! Again, thank you so much to everyone involved.

We initially found Building Envelope Experts via web searching for companies with good reviews, focused on storm door replacement. We were replacing two sets of French storm doors to our deck. They were one of two companies that ultimately came to our house to get measurements for bidding. Building Envelope Experts had a wait time nearly two times shorter/quicker than the other company, and we also liked their breadth of colors and choice of door hardware. We chose them, even though their cost was a bit higher than the other. The installation day arrived, and the team introduced themselves. They were friendly and professional. They asked good questions and reviewed the existing older storm doors. They covered the inside hallway and floors with nice heavy-duty runners to protect our existing floors. They carefully removed the existing old doors, and that debris was never sitting in piles; they whisked it away into their truck as it was removed. Then the new frames went up, and then the new doors. Once the first set of French doors was complete, they moved to the second set. We were amazed at how clean the deck and our inside floors were after the installations were both completed. There was absolutely no evidence of work having been done; no dirt or dust, no discarded screws, etc. There were no collateral scratches or damage to any surrounding walls, flooring, or deck. We now had beautiful new storm doors that blended wonderfully with the rest of our exterior. We would absolutely go with this team again, and we heartily recommend them to anyone. The slightly higher cost was more than worth it to us.

We bought a new house and needed several repairs. I called Vogel Heating and Cooling for an estimate on a new HVAC system. The salesman was wonderful. No high-pressure sale, just explained everything, etc. He looked at the house's square footage and energy loss - including the windows. I mentioned I needed new windows since my old ones were inoperable. He then told me that Vogel sells windows as well (Building Envelope Experts). He was able to answer my window questions and brought me a window the next day so I could see it, etc. They gave me a discount for purchasing both windows and HVAC so the windows were very reasonable. The installers were courteous and professional. It took 2 days to install 10 windows. They left my house clean inside and out. The windows look fabulous and open and close smoothly. I would definitely recommend Building Envelope Experts and Vogel.

I had 9 windows replaced in my home and they did an amazing job! The finished product made my house the gem of the block. I went with Building Envelope Experts because the price was fair and they were able to replace my windows the way that I wanted it done. I had gotten an estimate from another company who wanted to completely change things, instead of doing a replacement. Stephanie was extremely patient and professional when she came out to do the initial estimate and show me my options. She was also quick to respond to any of my follow-up questions. After I signed my contract, Brian quickly came out to do the final measurements and assess what needed to be done. He was extremely professional, patient, knowledgeable, and thorough with answering all of my questions and addressing my concerns. He was also helpful with helping me figure out options for a custom window. The crew showed up on time to do my install. They were polite, professional, quick, meticulous, efficient, and excellent in cleaning up as they worked. They completed the install of 9 windows in 1 day. I am definitely going to use them again to install my remaining 6 windows.
