In an era where it seems like a lot of businesses are running their employees ragged, with quick visits and cheap materials, optimizing margins, you forget what good, thoughtful customer service along with a good work product can be like. Grant spent hours evaluating my home and explaining the plan in detail. I was on a budget, so he broke my plan down into sub-projects in order of priority. The interaction felt like a consultancy and not a sales pitch, providing useful information, without constant follow-ups to close some sort of deal. In other words, it felt like I was interacting with a professional, confident business. He was actually present throughout the project, checking in with his team and myself. Ironically, this wasn't necessary with his team. Elijah, Tim, and Clayton were equally professional. Everyone actually cared about the quality of their work. They were actually normal, kind people who actually cared about the quality of their work, while remaining intentionally mindful and respectful of being in someone's home. The work performed was air sealing and insulation. The team had diagnostic tests, including blower assessments and thermal imaging, with before and after comparisons for a data-driven/supported approach. They actually cleaned up after themselves so well I think my house might have been left cleaner than how they found it. You might have noticed I said "actually" a lot. That's because with this old house I've had a lot of local well-known companies taking on projects, and those experiences have caused me to expect less. Building Envelope Experts offers a premium customer service experience and work product at normal, competitive pricing. This is not some paid, or worse, AI review. Grant and his whole team were very professional and thorough with my attic insulation and air sealing job. Grant sat down with me for 2 hours to discuss everything about insulation, air sealing, HVAC, and really create a whole game plan for the home. We discussed multiple options and price points. The work was a lot less disruptive than I had expected. It is a multi-day job, but the crew cleaned up after themselves every day. Really looking forward to talking with Grant one day in the future when I need a new HVAC system.

Very pleasant experience and the improvement to the comfort of my home was apparent the very first night and following day. A cold front moved in overnight, but my furnace is working less (it didn't even turn on overnight, and the house stayed warm) and it is noticeably quieter inside (although it is very windy outside). Definitely worth it!

Highly recommend Building Envelope Experts. They recently completed 2 projects for me. Both were smooth processes, from planning to execution. Excellent follow-through in planning process, and work crews were easy to work with and have around. Attic insulation is a helpful but hidden update. Love, love, love my new front door. Light coming into the north-facing living room from the half-glass door has totally changed how the room looks and feels.
